Acrylic & Microfiber
Berroco Origami
Berroco Origami takes several strands of different, beautifully color-coordinated fibers and combines them with a black wrap. The resulting fabric is drapey and has a nice mottled color appearance. Made in Italy.

Comments about Berroco Origami:
I used this yarn for a sweater pattern specifically written for Origami. It is a specialty yarn that might not work well with just any pattern because of the way the yarn is processed.

Comments about Berroco Origami:
I am knitting the short sleeved Johannes/Berroco sweater and the Origami yarn was recommended. It is a beautiful mix of colors, my choice is primarily red and the pattern has an open weave. It will be very nice for spring and summer. It is also very forgiving when making minor mistakes. It was on sale which made it that much more appealing~!

Comments about Berroco Origami:
Berroco's Patterns for this yarn rock!
The yarn's colors are perfect and can be worn with so many others without clashing or competing. The drape is great. (When the drape gets too "drapy" I have put garments in the washing machine and had great results.)

Comments about Berroco Origami:
I purchased discontinued colors at WEBS because I was saving almost 50% off the regular price I had recently paid at my LYS. I absolutely love the fact that it's light weight (I'm in south Florida), multicolored (matches with tons of things) and is easy to work with. The black wrap does on rare occasion snag on the needle, but it's easy to go back and fix, and the cut ends do unravel but that's easily fixed by tying a knot in the end. Almost done with my 1st piece and I can't wait to start another project with it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I haven't yet had the chance to see how it holds up to hand washing.

Love the colors in this yarn and I am making an Endless scarf. I can hardly wait to finish and wear it. I saw someone wearing this in this yarn and thought it was gorgeous and the colors went with everything....

Comments about Berroco Origami:
I knit the "Kirra Knit" long cardigan designed by Berroco for this yarn and a matching stockinette sleeveless shell.
The yarn is easy to work with, the colors beautiful, and the drape very good. The dye lots differ quite a bit.
The texture is a bit coarse, and I am not sure how comfortable these garments will be to wear. Over all, however, I am very pleased with the product.

Comments about Berroco Origami:
I teach kumihimo Japanese braiding on small looms using colorful mixtures and textures of cords and yarns. All colors of the Berrocco Origami mixes well with ribbons, satin/silk cords, strands of seed beads, and boucle yarns to make lovely braids for necklaces, purse handles, and belts. This particular cord is a favorite because it contains such a variety of colors or shades--not unlike an heirloom rag rug. Excellent choice for braiding, strong and sturdy, yet soft and flexible. One of my students's favorites!
