This yarn is so beautiful and soft to the touch. Prior to the first project that I made with the Berroco Vintage, (a blanket for my Mom for Christmas using Tide Pool and Breezeway) I had been using yarn from a craft store, but I don't think I'll ever go back. It knits up quickly, and the stitch definition is beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised at how soft it was when it knitted up, and while I used it to make a blanket, as previously noted, I will also be using the remaining yarn to make a pair of mittens for myself. It was also discountable, so this beautiful yarn was comparable in cost to the yarn I was buying in craft stores.
The one thing I would say negatively about the yarn was that in some cases there was less yardage in the Tide Pool color than the Breezeway, but not enough of a difference that it affected the project that I was making.

I usually don't purchase synthetic fibers or synthetic blends. BUT i had a commissioned request for a specific color and easy care. So i purchased this yarn. It's fine, it's soft and good yardage, and doesn't seem like a substandard fiber. However, it was the same price, if not more expensive than some of the 100% wool yarns on here... like cascade. I was ok with a close color because i know that depending on the monitor a color can look slightly different, but unfortunately the color was way off from the picture and considerably darker and more blue. Even though the color is beautiful in it's own right, it was far from the picture. I wasn't able to use it for the project, and ended up buying another yarn. So, be wary of the pictures and expect darker, and it's a nice wool blend. So if you want a quality blend, this is a good yarn.... but even so, in my opinion it's expensive for what it is.

Comments about Berroco Vintage:
I bought this yarn to make a baby blanket for a non-knitter, so the fact that it is machine washable makes it perfect. It is soft and not scratchy, and I think it will be my go-to yarn for everyday projects.

Comments about Berroco Vintage:
I enjoy using this yarn. I only wish that it could be used in techniques that require cut ends. Unfortunately, the yarn's tendency to unply into fluff makes that impossible.

Comments about Berroco Vintage:
This yarn is beautiful and has a nice soft hand. The color is rich and deep. However, I am surprised at how light of a fabric it knits up to. Being a wool blend and worsted weight, I expected it to be more substantial. The afghan I am making will be wonderful as a light lap robe but would not qualify as a warm, snuggly
Blanket. I woudn't hesitate to use this beautiful, generous yardage yarn again keeping the above in mind. Scarves and light weight tops would be perfect.

This is just a nice yarn- it's very soft, but clearly durable. I got Chana Dal (color), and there's a lot of depth to the color. Cables look really nice!
