This yarn has very little stretch and after trying several different cast on methods I decided not to make a sweater with it. It also had many little tufts of white yarn that didn't belong in the blue/green varigated yarn I purchased. When I tried to remove them, the yarn separated and couldn't be twisted back to the original shape. There were also several knots in the skein I tried to work with. The colors are beautiful and I am disappointed that it wouldn't work out for my project but the unopened skeins are going back.

Comments about Berroco Comfort:
My grandson selected this yarn from the Website to make a throw for his dorm room after High School. I am not a synthetic or superwash fan, but this project is looking good (he picked out Feather and fan in two colors). I do have to look at the stitches while knitting to make sure the stitch hasn't split.

very good yarn to knit with. It is smooth and easy to knit into many different stiches. It knitted quickly and easily. I will buy it again. It is great for use in clothing you don't want to use wool in.

Comments about Berroco Comfort:
Anything I make for my grandchildren must be machine washable and dryable so I generally choose acrylic or cotton types. This yarn is smooth, stitches are even and it is a pleasure to knit. The only con that I have is that my rough hands sometimes create a bit of abrasion and the yarn is so smooth that I can see them. My grandkids do not notice and love the cuddly softness.

Comments about Berroco Comfort:
Berocco Comfort knits up evenly and cleanly. The consistency is very good in that the yarn thickness remains even throughout the skein. It has a nice feel for an acrylic yarn. I wouldn't use for mittens or hats where they'll get wet in the winter....I'd stick with natural fibers that will retain body heat when wet. But for afghans and sweaters that you want to be able to wash and wear Comfort is a good fit.

Comments about Berroco Comfort:
I chose this yarn to make a baby blanket because it is machine washable and dryable as well as fairly soft. The color is nice, but I am having a majorly frustrating problem with the yarn. As I go along, the yarn keeps twisting on itself and kinking up. I have to stop about every 50 stitches to twist the skein/ball to untwist the yarn, otherwise the yarn gets very tightly twisted and skinny. It is REALLY slowing me down. I would not use this yarn again unless it was for a small project. It's driving me nuts!
