Finishing back of a summer top and it's soft and has nice drape. My needles are flying it's so easy to knit. I using the periwinkle and the color is lovely. A bit of trouble with spliting when I first started but not so much now I watch for it.

Comments about Valley Yarns Longmeadow:
I bought this yarn for a baby blanket. Even though it's a sport/DK weight yarn, I'm using size 8 (5mm) needles. It's coming out really soft. I would recommand it for sweaters too. It's soft on your skin and has a crispy touch. The most impressed about this yarn is there hasn't been one knot in the yarn and I'm on the 5th ball. Love it! Wish it was machine washable though.

Comments about Valley Yarns Longmeadow:
This is one of the better Valley Yarns I've used. It's not as heavy as I thought it would be so it's nice for garments. I had no trouble with splitting. It's really soft in the skein, but not as soft knitted up. The best part was I didn't get ANY knots in 5 balls. That's not been the case with the other Valley Yarns I've used. It's a bargain when it goes on sale. I'd definitely buy again!
Comments about Valley Yarns Longmeadow:
I bought the natural color of this yarn for a summer shawl. It came out very nicely. The yarn does split a bit so you do need to be careful and maybe not the best choice for a beginner. I used to live in Longmeadow so the name sold me too.
Comments about Valley Yarns Longmeadow:
Longmeadow, in my opinion, is an unsung hero of summer yarns. It is wonderful to knit and great to wear. I don't know, yet, how it will hold up to normal wear and tear, but so far, I like it very much.
Comments about Valley Yarns Longmeadow:
Just the perfect pinky-purple -- with a nice sheen and soft hand.
Comments about Valley Yarns Longmeadow:
Love the look and feel of this yarn. . . Definitely worth the price!
Comments about Valley Yarns Longmeadow:
Liked working with this yarn. Nice drape on garment and feels very comfortable on the skin.
Comments about Valley Yarns Longmeadow:
lighter weight, steam blocks nicely, found no splitting with the light blue; a little with the dark blue. Tight enough twist for lace pattern on larger needle (8)
