Expertly made single ply, perfect amount of twist. Not only will it not coil and fight you as you knit, it also will not break. Amazing combo of toughness, absolute smoothness and squishability. (Yeah, I made that up.) Knitting up like a dream in a 1x1 rib so far, and my whole family keeps coming back to touch it again and again. Intense, saturated colors too. I cannot think of a single flaw.

Comments about Juniper Moon Farm Chadwick:
I would call this thicker than worsted. I had to go way down in needle size and number of stitches--which is not a bad thing! Incredibly soft and a delight to work with.

Comments about Juniper Moon Farm Chadwick:
I used this yarn because of it's weight and color I needed to work in as a stripe along with wool and angora and cashmere. It worked in well with the other yarns. A little thicker than the other yarns but o.k. I would have to really consider the cost of making something just out of this yarn as it was expensive.

Comments about Juniper Moon Farm Chadwick:
I first encountered this yarn as a shareholder with Juniper Moon Farms. Susan Gibbs did a trunk show with this yarn a few years ago and I fell in love with it. I have been working on a sweater for my mom and ran out of yarn - WEBS delivered in just a few days - crisis averted! I love everything I've made with Chadwick - hats, cowl, sweater. There are no limitations with this yarn, it crochets up wonderfully, doesn't pill, doesn't stretch out and lose its shape. It drapes like a dream and is oh so squishy soft. I've been wearing my hat through our NY winter and have never been cold.

I am an annual CSA shareholder at Juniper Moon Farm and even though this yarn is not spun from the resident flock, I love it all the same. I have made a few hats and cowls with this yarn. It crochets up quickly, its soft and fun to work with. I am making a sweater in CLEAR SKIES now and when it's done it will be absolutely fabulous !!

Comments about Juniper Moon Farm Chadwick:
It is so soft, the texture is a pleasure to hold in your hands, great next to your skin. Used the Jupiter Moon ear flap hat pattern. By reversing the colors I was able to make 3 hats, Made my own Elmo baby hat and it was a great success. Find the color palette limiting.

Comments about Juniper Moon Farm Chadwick:
I initially purchased this yarn to make a cabled poncho for a paid project. I loved it, even when I didn't love the selected pattern and had to rip and reknit parts more than once. The yarn was still wonderful, the color warm and inviting. It was so soft that folks in my knitting crowds seemed to purr when they stroked it. I then bought the yarn to make 2 cowls with large cables for a male family friend and for my brother. If I had a few more pennies in my pocket, I surely would buy more of this yarn. I wish this yarn was not be discontinued.
