I love this fiber. It is soft, strong and will add alpca warmth and interesting color variations to your projects. However, if you are looking for a lightish to mediumish yarn, this is not what you are looking at. The photo is "overexposed". The overall tone is medium to dark; tones range from some light grey sparkles and all the way to black. I don't have a new plan for this yarn yet, but certainly not a spring gift. So, I recommend this product, but with caution due to color representation.

I plan to use it for a long cowl/infinity scarf to go with my new fall coats next year. This yarn is so beautiful it's difficult to describe adequately. The colors are so natural and subtle, better than pictured -- much darker overall than the photos on the website. That darkness enhances the glints of paler colors running through it. It's fuzzy but not too fuzzy, I can't wait to work with it.

Although I havenn't opened this skein, I have used handpainted alpaca before and like it very much. I can knit or weave with it and putting natural fibers with it is complimentary to both

I use this fibre for fine lace shawls, cravats and wraps. recently I knitted a drapey lace fronted cardigan for my daughter which just floats. Beautiful subtle colour combos.

I try to do sectional knitting from different motives,each motif as a lace doily. yarn is very beautiful and very soft!
