Comments about Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk:
The color is perfect ( i chose the charcoal gray), it crochets so wonderfully and anf feels so soft. When I have had to go back and fix an error, no problemand no snags. I am making a shawl which will almost weightless, which is what I envisioned for this yarn.

Comments about Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk:
I just started crocheting a lace shawl last night (only 2 hours into the project) and I LOVE this yarn! I'm ordering more colors as soon as I'm done with this review. It crochets up so softly and has a gorgeous sheen that makes the stitches just pop. This one is going on my favorites list permanently!

Comments about Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk:
I put on a long warp using the Chocolate and Pacific for three ruanas. This was an excellent, easy-to-use and easy-to-handle warp. The weft was also alpaca/Silk. The finished product was beautiful, soft and cuddly. The perfect ruana! No problems with using this as a warp. Not one broken warp thread! I also used this for some scarves and again perfect "hand" soft and cuddly and warm. This yarn was a pleasure to work with.

The colors and finished shawl and scarf were gorgeous, but a lot of blood, sweat and tears with snapping warps, especially the gray.

Comments about Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk:
I knit a lace sampler shawl and couldn't wait to finish. I used nearly the entire cone of yarn and the resulting shawl is lightweight, incredibly soft, and ohhh so warm. The yarn was very gentle on my fingers while knitting and was easy to work with. Only downside was dealing with the two plies which could separate a little. Overall, a fantastic yarn. I look forward to using this yarn again.

Comments about Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk:
I knitted a reversible cable shawl (Lily Chin's pattern) with a cone of this gorgeous, luxurious, soft, and very warm yarn. It is very lightweight yet incredibly cozy. I love this so much that I wrapped the emerging shawl around me as I was knitting it! Last night I took it to my knitting guild and now everyone who is going to Stitches West (which is coming up this weekend) is going to be beating a path to the Webs booth for some of this yarn! I keep wondering when Webs will get in a new shipment ....most of the great colors are backordered and have been for some time.
Comments about Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk:
What a delight it was to weave with this fiber blend. The silk adds the needed strength for a sturdy warp set at 20 epi and wove beautifully in a 2-2 twill at 20 ppi. I was happy to find the shed not sticking with the halo of the yarn. I can't wait to start my next project with this yarn. (Not a lot of shrinkage after washing!)
Comments about Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk:
Loved this yarn--gorgeous colors, soft and silky, a pleasure to knit and very reasonably priced. A teeny bit splitty but not too bad. The drape and feel of the finished shawl was amazing.
Comments about Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk:
I have bought several colors of the Kangaroo Dyers colors and buy the cones to do my own dyeing. It knits and blocks into beautiful lace shawls. For the price this yarn is so nice!! I love it!!
Comments about Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk:
I've used this yarn for both knitting (several lace shawls) and more recently a beautiful woven scarf. My results are always beautiful. It's so soft and warm! I'd love even more colors!
