Angora Yarns
Lana Gatto Class
Lana Gatto Class is a rare closeout you just can't let slip by. This merino/angora blend is loosely plied and incredibly soft. The angora gives the yarn a very slight halo, and would feel great next to the skin. This yarn would make great accessories, garments, or anything you want to be beautifully soft. Made in Italy.
Note: Some ball bands may have slightly different color numbers than those listed. The alternate number is noted in parenthesis.

Comments about Lana Gatto Class:
Bought this yarn to mix into other yarns for reconstruction of a hat that my friend asked me to make (her old favorite hat - not made by me - was tossed in a moth rampage frenzy). Loved this yarn and I ended up making my friend 3 hats mixing in this yarn.

Angora on its own doesn't have much body. This fiber blend is perfect!

Comments about Lana Gatto Class:
It's not dyed evenly but I like the color variation. I bought 3 different skeins. 2 of them have 1 knot. And 2 of them is hard to find the beginning of the yarn. The yarn is definelty not worsted. More like DK I guess (not sure).
I like the texture of the yarn a lot! The angora makes it very very soft.
It sheds so when I use my hand to rub my nose, I will get sneezes. Otherwise, it seems fine.

Comments about Lana Gatto Class:
I am using this in a sweater. Amazingly soft, and not itchy. Not good for stitch definition - stockinette is probably best. Sheds, but not excessively. Too bad it's being discontinued. It's a truly beautiful yarn.

Comments about Lana Gatto Class:
This yarn was purchased to substitute for another yarn for a balaclava. The yarn in the pattern has been discontinued. Since I wanted a worsed weight that was soft next to the skin I chose this yarn. It is extreemly soft having merino and angora. It is two ply and the plys are slightly loose so the plys will sometimes split appart when knitting. Other than that I would recommend this yarn.

Comments about Lana Gatto Class:
This yarn is gorgeous, buttery soft. I made a pullover sweater and enjoyed every minute. Only drawback is the shedding of the rabbit fur so consider your color choice.

Comments about Lana Gatto Class:
I am in the midst of knitting a sweater for my daughter with this yarn, and made her a scarf this past winter. It washes well (though I would stick with hand washing and laying flat to dry) and is wonderful to knit with.
