This is the most amazing yarn I have ever used. It flows effortlessly through the fingers. I have made mostly shawls with Breathless and when they're folded they are amazingly cushy and springy! Can't wait to knit a pair of socks! Until recently, I was able to buy directly from the dyer. What a treat it was to be able to see and feel this yarn in person! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

There are 12 reviews all giving the yarn 5 stars, but I think that knitters need to be aware of potential problems with the color when using this yarn for any project requiring more than 2 skeins.
I ordered 4 skeins in Lagoon. The yarn is so amazingly soft with a gorgeous texture, but the color was slightly inconsistent from one skein to another.
I noticed the inconsistency when I wound the first 2 skeins, but I forged ahead because I was on a deadline. I'm not sure if WEBS sent me skeins from different lots or if I was just unlucky. I also allowed the numerous 5 star reviews to blind me to the color problem.
The yarn was for a particularly important project - a shawl for my mother who has breast cancer - so I wanted it to be perfect. Halfway through the first skein the 'lighter' spots were too obvious to ignore, and the twist was also inconsistent with lots of loose sections. I could tell the next skein was going to look very different and I had to frog it. I ended up using 4 skeins of Plucky Knitter Primo fingering for the shawl - perfect!
As for the Breathless, I used 2.5 skeins, alternating, to make a short-sleeved cardigan - so I didn't waste the balls I had already wound and used. That solved the color problem, and I added twist as I went to the loose spots. The cardigan came out beautifully, thank goodness.
The skein/s I have left have more consistent color (few light spots at least) and the twist looks better, but it is unlikely that I will ever buy this yarn again as it added too much work and there are so many more luxury yarns easily available. If you decide to use Breathless for a large project, be prepared to alternate skeins.

Comments about Shalimar Yarns Breathless:
Used this yarn for a lace wimple. It kept me warm on the coldest of days and I never wanted to take it off! It was a beaded lace pattern and the beads just made the varigations in the yarn *POP*. Got many compliments on it and even made a second one for a friend who really liked mine. Would definitely splurge on this again.

I enjoyed working with this yarn...which is a good thing, because I ended up about 25 yards short to finish my project with it. Built-in excuse to buy a couple more skeins! I've been wearing the shawl I made with it almost nonstop and it's delightful against the skin. It blocks like a dream.

Just enough silk to keep the yarn from blooming, which makes it perfect for baby items. . . . and the cashmere makes it warm and soft.

Comments about Shalimar Yarns Breathless:
I love this yarn! The colors are aboslutely gorgeous with slight variation -- just enough to give the yarn some interest. I'm making a feather and fan scarf with it and the result is beautiful. Also, this yarn is so soft that once I got it I decided to knit something for myself and not gift this item (as I originally intended).
