This cashmere is some of the best cashmere available for handknitters! I've made several small items (scarves, fingerless gloves) and they all came out wonderful.

Comments about Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere 2-ply:
I ordered 2 skeins for weaving a scarf and found that the colors and textures are different enough that it doesn't even look like the same yarn. These 2 skeins are totally different -- color and texture. I will be returning and perhaps a trip to Webs for my own picks for a better match. This is a first disappointment from Webs and I have bought tons of yarn of all fibers.

Comments about Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere 2-ply:
I haven't yet used the yarn but I'm extremely pleased by its hand and gorgeous colour. I ordered the dark grey but it seems almost dark/grey mixed with aubergine. Very beautiful. Can't say how it will knit up yet... I've heard it can split if handled strongly. I believe it will take care to work with.

Comments about Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere 2-ply:
The yarn is wonderful. It does take care to wind into a ball - using a ball winder is not recommended. I have found the same problem with other fine yarn. It knits up well. I am going to buy more.

Comments about Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere 2-ply:
My first cashmere did not disappoint. I made an Estonian lace scarf and always get compliments. It is so warm and comforting I wore it daily. Washed and blocked beautifully. Made another for my daughter. That's all I can afford to make for now.

I made a fair isle pullover - needed more stitches to inch then jumper weight but amazing lightness and beauty. Have to have intense patience but worth the outcome.

Comments about Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere 2-ply:
Inner Mongolia is the Inner Mongolian autonomous zone of China and is heavily populated by Mongolian herders who were not as successful in breaking away from the the Manchus as their brothers in "Outer Mongolia". Cashmere from Inner Mongolia is cashmere from Mongolia. Your main concern should be quality not the country that the ethnic groups producing it lives it (unless you are concerned that it might not be as good quality because it has some contact with Chinese people along the way. What, do you think it has lead in it? Jade Sapphire produces high quality, beautiful cashmere yarn.
