Knit One Crochet Too Cozette

Knit One, Crochet Too's Cozette is a super soft and light silk/cotton blend yarn. This sport weight has a very subtle homespun look so finished projects have a delicate texture and lots of drape. Cozette will make beautiful lace. Made in Argentina.

Note: as we restock this yarn, we will be replacing it with Cozette 2 and phasing out Cozette. Cozette and Cozette 2 are the same except for yardage and spin: Cozette 2 will be 255 yards instead of 273 and more tightly spun. The weight will not change.

Part way through a sweater, and love the lightweight and soft feeling, like raw silk and tufts of cotton boll. Has stickiness quality that is challenging when winding. No shedding while knitting, but the thick-and-thin made me worry about weak places, though I have had no breakage so far. Can hardly wait for sweater to be done!

I purchased this yarn for a lace summer top. The texture is soft, and though a bit thick and thin, not enough to detract from the lace pattern. It knits quite nicely.

BUT, when about three quarters done the top, the skein I was using suddenly had a contrasting orange thread tightly plied into the cream colour yarn. Annoyed, but fixable. I had to cut out a section of yarn and rejoin the ball. However, I ended up having to cut out more orange yarn sections six times! And there was more on the ball itself. Luckily I usually buy an extra skein, so I switched to that, and found several large knots. Usually I would have frogged that section, but the pattern was a complicated one, and I didn't care to take it back. However it did leave me with several sections of lace where I will have to work in ends as invisibly as possible somehow. Very annoyed and disappointed.

Comments about Knit One Crochet Too Cozette:

Working on a very lacy shawl with it and I've had to rip it out a couple of time (should be learning how to use a life line.) This yarn has been very forgiving and held up very well. Love the sheen the silk adds.

The sweater I made turned out just as I wanted, however the knitting of it was tedious and took forever. I like the cotton and silk content and the texture of the yarn was perfect for the sweater (a sleeveless summer sweater) that I made. It is a gift for my daughter. I haven't given it to her yet but I'm sure she will love it.

Comments about Knit One Crochet Too Cozette:

I'm knitting a lace summer top with this yarn and it is so pleasant to work with. Very soft and I expect it will drape nicely. I had no issues whatsoever with tangling or knots and the thickness is very consistent.

It glides through the fingers and gives good stitch definition. Very pleased.

I am in the process of knitting a summer sweater with this yarn. It is not an easy knit - going very slowly. Tension is uneven but I do like the fiber content of this yarn and it is the right texture/drape for the sweater I am making. I think I will be happy with the end result.

Comments about Knit One Crochet Too Cozette:

This yarn was purchased to complete a project that ran out of yarn before finish. The color did not match, so I had to remake my project using the new yarn. While that was a hassle, the yarn does knit up beautifully, and is very soft to the touch, which was perfect for the newborn sweater I was making as a gift.

I used this to make the Flagship scarf on Ravelry - used the same colors as the original. Enjoyed this product from start to finish - loved the feel of the yarn, loved knitting the pattern, and LOVE wearing the finished scarf - so many compliments, because of the colors and the drape!

Comments about Knit One Crochet Too Cozette:

I've really liked working with this yarn in general--it's a pleasant texture and knits up into a soft, light fabric. So why 3 stars, not 4? All but one of the skeins were tangled and difficult to wind. I've never had so much trouble with yarn ever--I have a swift and ballwinder at home and have wound hundreds of skeins, including very fine laceweight yarns. One of the skeins was completely unusable-- so tangled with several loose ends (I gave up when I found the 5th end) it was unusable. Luckily, Webs' amazing customer service replaced that skein free of charge! I would buy this yarn again, but I'd definitely budget a lot of time for winding it up into cakes.

I was thrilled to begin a new project with this beautiful yarn, and then began winding it. It broke several times on the winder. I had someone assist me and they had the same problem. The Yarn literally shreded at our finger tips with the slightest tug. I had to exchange it for a stronger yarn. I was so disappointed.
