Comments about Noro Taiyo Sock:
overall, i love noro yarns - mostly for the color ways. they are beautiful and blend so nicely. however, i am not happy with this sock yarn, as i ran into slubs and knots. the slubs can be lived with and surprisingly look kind of cute but i find knots unacceptable. i expected more from this yarn. i have made socks out of cheaper yarns and didn't experience any knots, so i was expecting at least the same from this more expensive, higher end yarn.

Comments about Noro Taiyo Sock:
Taiyo Sock is just all around great! The colors are Noro through and through. I used the 04 colorway for a shawl, and I get compliments each time I use it. The only downfall is that it seems to have an extra twist to it. To combat this, I just rewound the skein from the inside out on a yarn ball winder. Taiyo knit up smoothly after that. Keep in mind that it has its thick and thin moments, like most sock yarns, but is mostly even.

Comments about Noro Taiyo Sock:
This yarn makes the softest, most comfortable socks I have ever worn. The individual stitches on the bottom of the foot cannot be detected; the fiber is so soft! This yarn has little stretch so I used a pattern with some stretch created by the stitches. The fit is perfect! I used Janel Laidman's 'Rivendell' pattern. I knit on size 0 needles (2.00mm). I made the heel turn a bit narrower but otherwise made no changes. I have a very high instep and this yarn was stretchy and soft and oh so comfortable. Taiyo is a single and twists up a bit when knitting. This can be managed and will not prevent me from buying another ball. Taiyo does not sag or stretch out. Taiyo sock is my new favorite.
