Sublime Luxurious Aran Tweed

Luxurious Aran Tweed by Sublime is a wonderful blend of wool, cotton and llama fibers. Wool adds stretch and memory to the cotton, and llama fiber is very strong and 5-7 times warmer than wool. Not only is this soft, warm and classy tweed a fantastic blend, but it's machine washable too! Made in Argentina

Great pick for my project

By Snoknitter

from Snohomish, WA

Pros

  • Beautiful Tweed
  • Great Color
  • Nubby Rustic Look

Cons

  • Overly Thin In Spots
  • Varies In Thickness

Best Uses

  • Used For A Simple Throw

I wanted a yarn for a simple rustic looking throw in a basket weave stitch. The yarn and color were perfect for this. Makes up into a soft, lightweight throw. Think it would make into a great sweater or vest to wear with jeans. The yarn varies some in thickness, and in a couple of balls, the yarn became thinner than I wanted in spots. Overall, it worked up well, and produced exactly the effect I was looking for.

Rustic

By Memere Diane

from Chicopee, MA

Pros

  • Nice Tweed

Cons

  • Multiple Knots
  • Rough Fibers

Best Uses

  • Scarves Cowls

Tweed color worked up beautifully. Several knots in every skein and tiny "twigs" spun in were annoying.
