I purchased this yarn to make an all season cable sweater for my brother who lives in Denver. This was the first time I knitted with organic cotton or a cotton wool blend and I was nervously intrigued. I found it was as soft as many wools and offered the great stitch definition cotton yarns are known for. The color was great. I bought this in 'natural' for my brother, and I'm already contemplating what color I'll buy for knitting a guernsey sweater for myself. I was so enthusiastic about this yarn I knitted it by candlelight for the 6 nights we were without power thanks to Hurricane Irene. My biggest issue was thinking that certain skeins looked like different shades when knitted. The fears faded when I washed and blocked parts of the sweater as I went along. (Could have done without that anxiety.) I also should have bought more yarn because the sweater cables chewed up alot more yarn than I anticipated. Nevertheless my brother has received so many compliments on the finished sweater, and he says it has become his "go to" sweater.
