Comments about Mission Falls 1824 Cotton:
Although it is very soft, because of the ridges is quite hard to work with. I would not buy it anymore because of this. Berroco weekend and cascade Pima cotton are also cotton blends and are much easier to work with.

Comments about Mission Falls 1824 Cotton:
I have made a few sweet little hats (Baby Cotton Hat from Last Minute Knitted Gifts, J. Hoverson) and they have held up well through years of wear and wash. Still soft and very little, almost unnoticeable stretch for a cotton yarn (I may only notice it because I knit them).

Comments about Mission Falls 1824 Cotton:
I've used 1824 Cotton for a couple of sweaters and love them, and have four more sweaters planned. I've had no pilling whatsoever after machine washing and tumble drying (inside out, as recommended on the ball label) numerous times. The sweaters just get softer and softer.
Mags Kandis, the designer who developed the yarn, was a color genius, and put together a fabulous palette that inspires great combinations (I used 11 colors for my first sweater in 1824 Cotton because they worked so well together!). There's a great selection of patterns for the yarn, which is interchangeable with 1824 Wool: women, men, children, babies, accessories, blankets.
I'm just heartbroken that the yarn is being discontinued.

Comments about Mission Falls 1824 Cotton:
I've used Mission Falls 1824 Cotton for a couple of projects, have four more planned. I've machine washed and machine dried my sweaters repeatedly and the yarn holds up beautifully. The sweaters are soft and surprisingly light to wear. And no yarn comes in a more gorgeous palette of colors! I'm so sad this yarn is being discontinued. Snap up some at a great price now before its all gone!

- Anything drapey
Comments about Mission Falls 1824 Cotton:
I used this yarn to knit a baby blaket that had a eyelet body and ruffle edge. The finished blanket was very drapey and something even I would love to snuggle in! :) I havn't tried washing yet.

Comments about Mission Falls 1824 Cotton:
This yarn pills terribly even though I'd taken extreme care when washing as I do everything I knit. Also, the yarn lost its softness with the very first washing. Its like wearing a cardboard box. A true waste of time and money.
