This is an approved yarn for Knots of Love (chemo hats) which is why I tried it. Those hats have to be soft, and this yarn is great. While I'm an experienced crocheter, I gave some of this to a novice who is making a baby blanket, and she loves the way it works up, too.

I bought this yarn to make a couple of good-sized baby blankets. It is soft but very splity. Also, it's a very light-weight worsted -- much more like DK weight than regular worsted, so I can't get the gauge I want without the stitches looking much too loose. I think it'd be great for lightweight items, but I'm disappointed because it's much lighter than I wanted for the blankets. I'm trying a 3rd swatch using 2 strands, but I'm losing stitch definition on a beautiful pattern and, from the feel of the swatch, I think 2 strands are going to make it too heavy for a baby blanket.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:

This was purchased as a kit for a baby sweater and hat. My first observation was that there was not going to be enough yarn, the patter called for skeins with more length than was on this yarn. It was necessary to purchase two more skeins, not nice when shipping and handling were another expense

The yarn that I bought was just wonderful. I crochet for pleasure and relaxation, and the yarn was so easy to work with. It was like a mini-vacation! My family loves the throw that I made for our family room sofa. It is soft and cozy and warm. Thank you WEBS for providing the best yarn available on the net, and for providing such great customer service.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:

I'm using Jeannee to make a pullover for my grandson who doesn't like sweaters that are too warm. The color is a bit variagated, which I like because keeps it from being "flat" but does make the overall effect casual. The yarn is a little "stringy" and I had to go down a needle size to give the knitting enough structure.

        Service and delivery comments:

As always, the service was great.

I originally purchased this yarn for a baby blanket. I enjoyed knitting with it so much, and was so delighted with the result, that I have made another baby blanket and 4 sweaters with Jeannee worsted. All of the garments have beautiful stitch definition.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Jeannee Worsted:

I bought this yarn to make a Christmas stocking for a friend's baby. It knitted up nicely, and was very soft. It is on the thin side for a worsted yarn, and when I had to get an additional color of yarn in my LYS the worsteds I looked at were much thicker. The yarn also has a lot of give, which worked out well for my project but keep stretch in mind when you choose yarn for a project.

Overall, I liked the yarn and it knitted up well. I think it would be a wonderful yarn for baby projects because it's so soft. It's also very true to color, which I appreciated.
