Comments about Louisa Harding Merletto:
I am knitting the Sycamore vest, I hope it works out. The yarn doesn't show stitches well, don't use it for fancy stitches. The yarn also splits, peels and knots easily. Looks good but hard to work with, not sure I could recommend it.

Comments about Louisa Harding Merletto:
Knit a shawl with a drop stitch in Glint (gray). Beautiful drape and sheen make it dressy, even with a simple stitch pattern. A little fuzzy.

Beware - the pictures are not accurate - not even close. This is a glitter yarn!

Comments about Louisa Harding Merletto:
I have knitted a caridgan, a shell, and a skirt with this yarn. It has a very pleasant feel in the hand. It has a lovely sheen and creates a beaufitul finished product.
I am so sorry that it has been discontinued.

Comments about Louisa Harding Merletto:
Made "Louisa" from Cocoknits with this and absolutely love the sweater. The drape is amazing and it has a lovely sheen. The plain stockinette of the sweater really shows off the yarn beautifully. People see it and say "wow!"
I'd suggest knitting no looser than the recommended 22st/4" gauge as it wants to stretch under its own weight and has no memory whatsoever. Be a bit careful in wearing, as the lovely and shiny rayon component snags easily.
I liked this yarn enough that I ordered more for another sweater. That one is looking great as well, so will be ordering again.

Comments about Louisa Harding Merletto:
This is a very pretty yarn. However, as others have mentioned, it is very splitty. There are also bits of hard fiber in the yarn that I remove as I knit along. The knitted product looks very nice though. Not sure if I would venture to buy this yarn again.

Comments about Louisa Harding Merletto:
Very beautiful yarn, love how it shimmers. But, it does have a tendency to split and snag while knitting - just have to slow down and knit carefully.

Merchant response: The sheen of the viscose strand mentioned in the description definitely gives it a shimmery effect.
