This yarn is very nice overall, but how unusual that it's made from milk! The milk fiber seems to have similar qualities to bamboo or tencel, but the cotton content is necessary to give it strength and stability. It has excellent drape, beautiful, rich color, a lovely, soft hand and provides great stitch definition. I have enjoyed so much knitting an all-over, lace-stitch cardi in this yarn from Vogue Knitting Summer '13 but it's definitely on the pricy side. And I've had problems with the imperfections throughout each skein. The first 5 skeins I knitted thru had only a couple knots but there were several sections where the strand became very thick and and didn't hold its twist, and there were quite a few sections where one of the plys was broken and frayed tho still useable, but in the 6th skein there were tons of inperfections like that, and some were so frayed or broken that I had to break the yarn and remove those sections. Perhaps those areas were where the fiber bats were joined during spinning. Despite the imperfections, I think this is a lovely luxury yarn, but I wonder how well it will wear over time, because it does seem to grab onto itself and pill a bit as I've been working with it.

This is a nice yarn at first, but it has a funny (sour type) smell when damp or heated at all. Don't think I would use it again due to the smell.
