Comments about Sublime Tussah Silk DK:

I am making a shawl with this yarn that uses the stockinette stitch for the main part then knit rows of lace pattern for the edging. Although I love this yarn, I figured out it does not work well for this project because the yarn is bumpy and as a result it distorts what the pattern should look like. Although I'm almost done, I think I'm going to rip it out and use it for a pattern more suited to a bumpy yarn :-)

Comments about Sublime Tussah Silk DK:

I love to crochet. Sometimes I rip out a pattern to start over, but I don't recommend this nice yarn for practice because it unravels a bit after re-working it. But it is a beautiful, soft, shining yarn, and at such a good price that I can't help giving it high points! After all, who but me would practice with a silken yarn? There are lovely colors, too. I am working with shade 261 which is a creamy color that works nicely into a shawl. I love the strength of the yarn as well as the texture.

This yarn made the most amazing blessing / christening gown ever. So beautiful. The stitch pattern showed up very well and the drape was awesome. And so soft. I will definitely buy this yarn again.

Comments about Sublime Tussah Silk DK:

I used this to make a shawl for a friend's wedding. I liked the luxury that it had silk in it, but also that it was machine washable since it would be a gift and I would hate for all the time and effort to be ruined by a trip in the washer. I used nickel-plated needles and my knitting flew by. Wood or bamboo needles might have been a better choice to work with this yarn, as it was very slippery on the nickel-plated needles.

It doesn't show up in the picture, but the yarn is actually like a "core" which is dull and I am assuming is the silk which is wrapped by the shiny outer piece, which I am assuming is the viscose. The outer wrap really reflects the light.

I could make something for myself out of this yarn. It has a beautiful sheen and looks far more luxurious than the price tag would seem...a great value!
