I bought this to make a hat for a friend. Usually I'll check something out at my local store before ordering, but I took a chance on this and I'm glad I did. It has a nice texture and it crochets up well. I like how uniform all the stitches look. You'll love the feel of it. I want to make a blanket for myself with it now so I can snuggle up to it this winter!

Comments about Misti Alpaca Pima Cotton & Silk Worsted:
I am using this yarn to knit a twisted draped short sleeve sweater. At first I wasn't sure how it would drape, but as I work with the yarn it is amazingly pliable. The sheen will make this an amazing spring shrug-like sweater that will make it's way through summer as well. Wonderful yarn.

I bought this yarn to make a hat for my aunt who is going through chemo for the third time. The yarn is beautiful and is soft enough that I don't think it would irritate her skin, but it's shedding quite a bit.

This is a great yarn, very soft and a nice color. It's easy to work with and knits up relatively quickly. It would show patterns nicely, too.

Comments about Misti Alpaca Pima Cotton & Silk Worsted:
I have been knitting all week long on several different projects; each one claiming to be soft and lite weight, but non of them compare to the Pima Cotton & Silk Worsted by Misti Alpaca. My skin is very sensetive, and I end up rubbing my fingers raw; this yarn was so soft I couldn't put my project down, and I kept rubbing it on my cheek. That's how much I loved working with this yarn! Please try it for yourself and be the judge!

Comments about Misti Alpaca Pima Cotton & Silk Worsted:
Two daughters in law can't wear wool so this is a good natural fiber alternative. On my second sweater now. After knitting an initial swatch it seemed it was almost too soft, so I tried knitting it together with a lace weight cotton/linen weaving yarn. For the sweater I'm knitting now, I'm using a very thin cotton/silk yarn with slubs every few inches. Stiffens the fabric just a bit and gives it a tweedy textural interest. Stitch definition seems better when in combination, like for cables, although seed stitch is nice alone. I noticed a little shedding but not bad.

Love this pima cotton, silk blend! Got it in the blue twist and the orchid- beautiful! Made a cowl for an xmas gift with the blue- will be warm and pretty while breatheable- not as sweaty as wool for a warmer winter.

This yarn is very soft . In addition , there is lots of it for the cost of a skein. Colors are vivid but the softness is the best

Comments about Misti Alpaca Pima Cotton & Silk Worsted:
Very soft, I cannot wear wool so am always looking for cotton/silk, or other cotton blends. This yarn is being beautifully knit into a kimono that will have sashiko embrodery as an added detail. Washing the swatch made the fabric a bit crisper which duplicates the look of the original garment. Pattern from Knit Kimono Too, Vicki Square.
