Valley Yarns Buckland is a gorgeous blend of superwash merino, mulberry silk and nylon. The silk gives this yarn a stunning sheen that brings out the deep and rich colors. Use this worsted weight, chainette yarn to create lightweight yet sturdy sweaters, shawls and accessories. Made in Peru.

I'm making a baby blanket with this yarn as a gift. Maybe not the best choice, since it will have to be dried flat after washing, but it's a nice weight for a warmer climate, and very soft against the skin. The best thing about this yarn is the woven texture; absolutely no splitting as you knit so it's very easy to work with.

Since becoming an alpaca owner, I have become an alpaca yarn snob. I haven't had much experience with wool, so when I got this yarn, I couldn't believe how soft it is! I love the texture, too. I crocheted it into a beautiful long cowl, and it looks incredible. I'm not only surprised, but I would buy this yarn again - in a heartbeat. It would make a MAGNIFICENT afghan!! I MAY try a sweater for my husband, since the roundness of the yarn seems to keep snagging to a minimum, which would be a huge plus, as rough as he is on sweaters!

I might never have discovered this yarn had it not been offered as a "freebie" with a purchase. I have 2 skeins, which I think I'll use for a scarf, since it is sooooo soft! I will definitely be back for more in the future! Webs is an awesome company to do business with!
