Comments about Mango Moon Recycled Silk Yarn:
I used it to make a cap sleeved Cardi- kinda risky considering how heavy it is, but that was my risk to take :). I did find that there was a lot of debris woven into the yarn- mostly slivers of wood or what looked like pine needles or rosemary. Because of it's recycled nature, it unspun a couple times, but only 2-3 times in 3 skeins. It still has a nice feel and I don't regret the puchase.

Comments about Mango Moon Recycled Silk Yarn:
I love the concept of the Nepal Women's project and the breathtaking sheen and color of this yarn. However I found it unpleasant to use. First, there is a cacaphony of color, so this yarn is best used as an accent. Next it is so heavy you have to be mindful that it drops/sags instead of draping unless it's added in sparingly. Lastly, I found myself unwinding the yarn frequently because it was so tightly spun. Plus it was necessary to twist out mysterious debris that had spun in with the silk as I went.
The scarf I made is for a very socially conscious young woman, and I know she'll love the piece, it's both elegant and causal. I used the silk as a chain link pattern over royal blue Araucania Azapa. However I really didn't enjoy knitting this yarn. As easily as my head is turned by shiny fibers, I will not buy this particular yarn again.

Comments about Mango Moon Recycled Silk Yarn:
I love the idea, but it is tiring, constantly having to stop and let the fabric unspin as you use it, and do not unspin it too much, as it will come apart and you have to make a knot to continue.
It is beautiful when made up, but not satisfying to use.
