Highly recommended, its a kind of special and luxury yarn with silk and Llama. And hides well any knot or imperfection.

I´m knitting myself a sweater with this yarn in Rose and was loving it so far. I had to buy more to complete (my mistake) the project and the new skeins I received were of a slightly darker shade (more violet). I understand that color may change from lot to lot but I was surprised to find the yarn weight had changed too. I hope the different colors don´t show in the finished garment.
As for the wool, it has a very particular pleasant texture that reminds me of corduroy.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Taria Tweed:

At first I was skeptical of "llama" but the yarn is beautiful. Sure, you can find better tweed on the market, but at this price, it is a real deal! I have just made a large swatch (washed at blocked) because I won't be starting winter knitting before September. The color is brighter that what appears on my screen - not bad or good, just need to be aware of that fact - So far, no knot in my first skein and the color seems to be constant (I got 10 skeins). It's more a heavy worsted yarn. It is a very good yarn, a soft and bright tweed, very trendy this winter! I probably use it to make a jacket. Thank you for the price, the quality and the excellent service!

I really was surprised by this yarn - colors are fabulous! The color combinations are surprising & interesting - knitting up beautifully. Because its bulky it knits up quickly. I am knitting cowls with it & needed only 1 skein. It will be perfect for our cold winters.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Taria Tweed:

I used 1 skein to make the Neck Nuzzler scarf, basically a moss stitch infinity scarf, for a friend. I was disappointed with the weight which I think is thin for a yarn described as bulky. I had to use it because she had picked the purple and she loved the fuschia tweed flecks in it. I didn't have enough yarn to double it. I used a size 13 needle and perhaps I should have gone down a size. The bumpy texture of this pattern did not come out as well as I would have liked. The color of the tweeds is lovely. I also got the aqua to make something for myself. In the future, I will swatch first to make sure I like the way the fabric is coming out and adjust needle size.

The yarn is very soft & pliable, but more heavily textured than other tweeds. This is not good or bad, just something to be aware of. Very easy and pleasant to use, generous yardage.

I would think twice before buying any Plymouth yarn again. The many knots in the one skein I have used so far were extremely annoying. I made a cowl and had to weave in many ends.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Taria Tweed:

I bought this to make a sweater jacket that knitted up beautifully. It is so soft and well shaped that I couldn't be more pleased. Blocking was a cinch.

I don't understand why they've discontinued some of their more popular grays and brown colors. I had no problem with knots or splitting or quality like I had read in prior reviews and I would urge them to reconsider discontinuing this product. I feel I was profoundly fortunate to have gotten my light brown skeins when I did.

A couple of friends asked where I got the yarn and were very happy that they could still get some!

A great yarn for comfort close to the skin, for sweaters, socks and soft projects in general.
