Grace is a beautiful yarn that has an amazing sheen to it due to the silk. It has a nice full "bloom", so this DK leans more toward the worsted side, rather than some DKs which are interchangeable with sportweight. It doesn't have a super tight twist (part of what gives the nice bloom), but that can cause it to unravel a bit if you reuse it a lot or are weaving in long ends. Also, I did get one knot in three skeins, but the yarn is so beautiful that I felt it was worth it to cut it out. It made beautiful gauntlets and I would use it for cowls, scarves, hats as well. I have no idea how it wears for sweaters, as I haven't tried it yet. It is very soft and wonderful to work with.

I love the feel and look of this yarn but am frustrated by how many knots and weaknesses I've found. My suggestion is rewind the skeins before you start working before you find one of these defects at an inconvenient place.

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Sweaters

Comments about Louisa Harding Grace Silk & Wool:

I used this to crochet a sweater and I absolutely love it. The yarn is smooth and a breeze to work with. It does tend to catch on itself so frogging back to fix a mistake can be tricky, but I've seen worse. Of course, I finished as the weather warmed up, so I can't review the warmth or wear much but it drapes well and looks great.

Comments about Louisa Harding Grace Silk & Wool:

I've gone through five separate patterns to use this gorgeous yarn and be happy with the result. What I originally had in mind simply didn't do it justice. I would love to use it again -- and again. The yarn even grafts beautifully, so there is virtually no waste in a high quality material.

I am making a turtle neck cardigan sweater, so the yarn needs to feel good against my skin...and it does. The color and the drape are beautiful.

Comments about Louisa Harding Grace Silk & Wool:

I'm knitting a pullover sweater with this yarn, and it's so soft that it's a pleasure to feel as I go. That said, unknitting is complicated by the fact that the yarn seems to "grab" itself at times and won't undo easily.
