Wisdom Yarns Poems Silk

By linslittlegirl

from Connecticut

Pros

  • Beautiful colors
  • Very soft

Cons

  • Breaks easily
  • Thickness Varies
  • Too many knots
  • Twists Horribly

Best Uses

I love Poems Chunky and Poems Puzzle, and I assumed I'd love this, too. It's super soft, and the colors are a bit like Noro Silk Garden. I normally love roving-type yarns rather than plied yarns, but not this time. Poems Silky frequently gets very, very thin (way too tightly twisted) and then very bulky (almost completely untwisted). That would be fine if it was a thick/thin yarn, but it's not. There are lots of very fuzzy spots as you are knitting that you've got to remove, hopefully without pulling the yarn apart completely. Also, I came to many spots where the yarn was just broken then tied in knots. This is the first time I've ever said this, but I won't ever use this yarn again.
