Beautiful Cobweb
The description of this yarn is a little misleading, using the words "light fingering". This is a very fine yarn, cobweb weight, perfect for lace work with small needles.

I bought this due to it being on sale and my planes to knit a large shawl. The yardage and price were very good. It was also a plus that the yarn is superwash. I did run into a problem while winding it, I was going fairly slow but the swift end had a snag and the yarn snapped. I was rewinding the first ball as it was out of whack and it snapped again. Beariing in mind this is cobweb lace weight yarn I was not too upset. I do find knitting to be going slower both due to the fineness of the yarn and the pattern.

Comments about Filatura Di Crosa Centolavaggi:
I am using this to make my first lace project. There are a few rows that I have had to frog back (thank God for lifelines!) and the stitches come out very easy and the yarn still looks fine after. Love this yarn and will buy more for future projects.

Comments about Filatura Di Crosa Centolavaggi:
I like this yarn, but be warned, it's very thin. I'm currently knitting a shawl with it (single-stranded) but plan to use it doubled for a sweater. I heard that three strands together knit up to sportweight. It's possible to wind by hand but takes a long time and some care.

This yarn is fantastic. Sturdy for a delicate lace weight yarn. I have not had a bad experience with it. Best yarn to use for your first lace weight project.

I purchased this yarn to make a wedding shawl for a granddaughter. No wedding plans as of yet - but with such a "doll" I am planning in advance for a lovely lace shawl for her. Anxious to start project. I plan on purchasing more of this yarn for a shawl me myself.

Comments about Filatura Di Crosa Centolavaggi:
I've made two lightweight sweaters with this. I bought some in Italy and am happy to see it here. I love working with it. I was told to use more than one strand but I did it single and although, fragile the sweaters are lovely.
