Madelinetosh Pashmina
Madelinetosh Pashmina is a 3-ply yarn made up of 75% superwash merino wool, 15% silk and 10% cashmere, a similar fiber blend to the famous woven pashmina scarves.
This machine washable blend is hand-dyed in small dye lots and knits up to create a soft fabric with great drape.

Comments about Madelinetosh Pashmina:
I love this yarn because of the feel and the texture. It really is very soft and comfortable. My comment is aimed at the fact that there are no dye lots for this yarn. This is not an issue until you need to use more than one hank...there will be noticeable color shifts unless you knit from two skeins at once ( two rows from one, two rows from the other).
I purchased four hanks of this yarn, intending to knit a sweater. I know about the dye lot issue, and wanted to see if I could effectively disguise the color shifts...
I decided to knit squares, each one from a different skein. I assembled them as I worked. The sweater is not finished, but I can see that this method does NOT disguise the color shifts. Each square is just a little different from the next, but since the sweater itself is one unit, I think I can pull it off.
HOWEVER, if I were to purchase multiple hanks of this yarn again, I would simply knit whatever I was making with the two-rows-from-two-skeins method. I think it's the only way to get a really cohesive whole.

Comments about Madelinetosh Pashmina:
beautiful color though it is a charcoal color that is on the lighter side. The slight variations in color are very subtle and add an extra dimension. Is very soft and really fun to knit with (which is important since I'm knitting a throw with two strands and it is still taking quite a while)

Comments about Madelinetosh Pashmina:
I have purchased two different color ways of this yarn and both were beautiful! What I love most is the texture of this yarn: it is soft and silky feeling with none of the annoying wool itchiness that some yarns have. I have made infinity scarves with the two skeins and they are gorgeous as this yarn knits evenly and blocks nicely.
I will be purchasing more to make a sweater....however, knowing there are no dye lots make a large project more challenging. It is imperative to blend the skeins by knitting two rows from one and two from another to achieve a consistent coloring. I am not looking forward to that part but I am coveting a sweater made from this yarn.

Comments about Madelinetosh Pashmina:
I am very sensitive to wool and wool blends. Pashmina is so soft and doesn't itch at all. It is a dream to work with and blocks beautifully. The colors are gorgeous!
The only drawback is that the skeins are dyed 2 at a time and that can make it difficult to get consistent coloring throughout.
