I used this yarn to knit my son a Flax sweater. I loved working with it, it's super soft and feels good on your hands and I really love the colors. The colors did pool though in like a vertical chevron pattern on the body of the sweater. Not thrilled about that. It's superwash so the neckline stretched like crazy, but that's what superwash does and I knew that. The ends tend to unravel as well, but that's no biggy. I just tied a knot in the end of the tail and then snipped the knot when came time to tie in. I would still use this yarn again, in fact I got three more sweater quantities. I may just make a cute striped blanket.

Beautiful stitch definition. It is variegated, so keep that in mind. Is making a beautiful heirloom afghan. Chose the green for a feeling of the garden.

Made a scarf and matching hat. Easy to work with. I hand washed it and it stretched quite a bit, but still looks good just a longer scarf than i had planned.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Select Worsted Merino Superwash Kettle Dyed:

I started out planning to make an afghan, a riff on a quilting pattern in the gently graduated pastels (cream, wisteria, blossom, and lichen), and also ordered the black for a sweater. The yarn was even better than I expected: beautiful colors, soft and squishy, with the extra advantage of being Superwash! I love this yarn! More projects sprang to mind, and I ordered again. And again. This yarn is addictive! (OK, yes, I have ordered more than 10 skeins -- we won't get into exactly how many more.) The only caution I will add is that the pansy purple is not the softly tonal pastel I expected, but is a contrast of the pastel purple shown and a very dark purple. Although it did not work for my original afghan, it's waiting to become a dramatic scarf. I'm just sorry this yarn is being discontinued.

I bought a sweater quantity of this yarn and when I started knitting with it, I was very pleased. I loved it so much I came back and bought another sweater quantity for myself, my son and my daughter! It is so soft and squishy, superwash is a plus for me, blocks really well and comes with amazing yardage. The colors are lovely, but then I'm a sucker for kettle dyed yarn :)
