Knit One Crochet Too Ty-Dy Socks

Knit One Crochet Too Ty-Dy Socks takes the usual sock blend of superwash wool and nylon and kicks it up a notch with bright, self-striping colors. One ball is enough to make most sock patterns, but be sure to check your pattern for yardage requirements. Knit One Crochet Too Ty-Dy Socks would also be great for fun baby items. Made in Taiwan.

Note: Once our current inventory of color #1713 is sold out, it will not be in stock again until late Summer or early Fall.

Comments about Knit One Crochet Too Ty-Dy Socks:

I bought this for the camo colour. It knits up in fairly long stripes of black, green, and tan. The yam isn't super high end: it is a bit thin in hand but creates a decent enough fabric. The socks won't wear like iron, but they should hold up well for everyday use.

Comments about Knit One Crochet Too Ty-Dy Socks:

One of the first pairs of socks I made for my husband was out of Ty-Dy Socks. They have been going strong since first knit 2.5 years ago, withstanding weekly washing and drying when heavily used, and they still look great with only minor piling. The colors make even stockinette socks lots of fun. I'm always excited by colorful sock yarns that will wear well.

Comments about Knit One Crochet Too Ty-Dy Socks:

I am enjoying knitting with this yarn....soft and squishy...colourful. It is a very fine fingering so I would recommend checking gauge. Also, repeated tinking and frogging cause it to unravel. I would buy it again.

          Service and delivery comments:

I ordered online...excellent service....prompt and well packaged and exactly what I ordered. Thank you.

I have made socks out of several types of sock yarn. I find Ty-Dy Socks to be one of the best. It's a great weight, hold the shape of the sock well, feels great to wear and washes well. They are my go to socks!

Comments about Knit One Crochet Too Ty-Dy Socks:

When I saw this yarn I had to get it for the unique color combinations (bought the camouflage because I love green!). The yarn is so soft for being a nylon blend. I know some other yarns are a bit course in this respect, which is good if you are making socks and you need that durability. However, with this yarn I am making a shawl and the added softness works here. The other thing about the yarn is that it has a ton of yardage, more than 400 I think, and it comes in a ball and not a hank, which saved me time in not having to wind the yarn. I got started on my project right away. The only other thing I can say about the yarn is that I can see it pilling a little bit. Not much, but enough for me to notice, given the long project I have. Even so, the knitted fabric drapes beautifully and the colors merge, balance, and flow wonderfully. I definetely recommend this brand of yarn for anyone wanting to make a soft shawl.

Comments about Knit One Crochet Too Ty-Dy Socks:

I was making a long circular scarf/cowl and used the Jungle color in green. So many people admired this while I was working it. The spacing of the colored stripes and the wonderful feel and drape of the yarn (worked on size 3 needles) caught everyone's attention and the yarn was wonderful to knit with. I did have to order a second ball for the yardage I needed, but really, 440 yards is phenomenal yardage. I will probably make another, as my daughter keeps putting it on...
