I used this yarn to make a simple beanie for a man. I purchased the earthy-green colorway and I really like how dense it worked up in stockinette, while still having enough stretch for the ribbed band. My main issue w/ the yarn was that the colorful tweed flecks are not securely woven into the yarn and mostly all of the contrasting flecks can be picked right out of the final product. I'm sure, w/ a certain amount of wear, there will be little-to-none of these remaining on the beanie. The only other problem that I ecountered was a Russian join I made to connect the second ball came slightly unraveled after ripping out the row. This might have been a user-error, but I've never had this happen before. Double-check your joins, just to be sure and do not buy this yarn primarily for the tweed flecks.

I used Ella Rae's Country Tweed to knit VK Fall 2000 No3 – Barbara Fimbel double heart cable raglan turtleneck - for myself and I can't wait to wear it. It knits to gauge perfectly and after blocking (and laying flat to dry) the stitches are defined perfectly and the cable looks plump and perfect.

I really enjoy using this yarn to make quick hats and scarves. It is great for showing off the pattern. I am crocheting a pattern with a 5DC "popcorn" effect on a #6 hook, and the yarn responds quite nicely!
