Wool Yarn
Feza Alp Virgin
A unique offering from Feza, Alp Virgin is a long-repeat striping yarn. However, instead of different colors it stripes different textures! Gauge-wise this yarn straddles the line between a heavy worsted and a bulky weight, which means it can be used for a variety of projects. If knit tightly it would be good for mittens, gloves, or garments while a looser gauge lends itself to a wide range of accessories. Made in Turkey.

Comments about Feza Alp Virgin:
I purchased this yarn to knit the Noro Swing Jacket, which I have made before with Noro yarn. I knit about 6 inches and I just wasn't enjoying working with this yarn. I'm really not that fussy on texture but this seemed very scratchy and I wouldn't want it next to my skin. It was expensive and I don't know what to do with it. With regard to knots- part of the pattern of the yarn is nubs and I found that the knots just became pattern and blended in.

Comments about Feza Alp Virgin:
I will use this yarn for a wonderfully spectacular shawl. When winding the skeins into balls I was surprised to find dozens of knots. The manufacturer makes this clear on its website. It would be good if Webs would, as well.
