This yarn is strong for being so soft and so loosely plied: I've tried breaking a length by hand and can't. Then I swatched on size U.S. 9s and hand washed the swatch. It bloomed into an even softer, plusher fabric. Because I knit loosely, I was surprised that I did not need to go down to a size 8. I've completed (& love!) a grey-green "Rocky Coast" cardigan (Hannah Fettig's) out of the equally plush but hard-to-find Organik and, given the beauty of this merino-cashmere, I'm casting on right away with this cream-colored for another "Rocky Coast". I've roughed up my swatch and it may eventually pill but no more than the original pattern's yarn. I think I'll get some more to use for making gift accessories. It's really beautiful.
