Imperial Yarn Columbia 2-Ply

Imperial Yarn Columbia 2-Ply is 100% American-grown wool, made in Oregon. This soft, cuddly worsted weight yarn is mule spun, a machine process based on hand spinning that gives the finished yarn a fluffier makeup and more springiness. In deep jewel tones and heathers, Columbia 2-Ply is a versatile choice for cozy and warm outerwear, gorgeous accessories, and vibrant colorwork. Columbia 2-Ply is easy to work with and knits up into a smooth, dense fabric that will wear well and stay beautiful for years to come. Made in the USA

Pros

  • Made in america
  • Naturally Processed
  • Sturdy

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Many Knots In Each Skein
  • Scratchy

Best Uses

  • Adult Sweaters

I ordered this yarn in the natural un-dyed charcoal grey color and i love the color. Its like a true, rustic sheeps wool and I like the look of it for sweaters. It has a very earthy, organic, rustic look that I love. Its a bit expensive for being un-dyed wool but i understand that anything made in America costs more and I am willing to pay to support American made goods. A couple of the skeins had quite a few knots which was rather annoying. overall I would recommend this yarn, especially the natural charcoal color, because it I love the look of it. I have not seen a yarn similar in color in a very long time. I will use again to make matching sweaters for my family.
