Comments about Regia 4-Ply Snowflake Color:

I purchased the entire line of Snowflake Color and have been making socks and mittens out of this wonderfully fantastic, super soft sock yarn. The color saturation is fabulous, with fun, bright colors, and it has the perfect amount of stretch wanted, and needed in a sock yarn. And because it's Regia, as a sock knitter I know it's going to wear well for a long time to come. Previous Regia lines I have knit with are still going strong after more than six years, showing little to no wear. I do hand launder and air dry all of my hand knits whether they are machine washable yarns or not, just because of the sheer amount of time I put into creating them I really, really want them to last!

Comments about Regia 4-Ply Snowflake Color:

Used for a lace knit infinity scarf & it turned out beautifully. This yarn blocks well. Soft, easy to work with. It tended to twist on itself a bit, but not enough to slow down the project. Would make an awesome pair of socks or cute, lightweight fingerless gloves.

The usual Regia quality and charm

    By Captain Hook

Comments about Regia 4-Ply Snowflake Color:

You can read every review I've ever written about 4-ply Regia sock yarns in the past for the gritty technical details (the yarn is five-by-five in my view in workability, durability, washability, etc.)...but here I'll comment on these colors.

    The Snowflake/Schneestern colors are charming!

The pattern repeats work up relatively quickly, which is important if Das Paar muss übereinstimmen/the pair must match in symmetry of pattern. (Ja, und ja.)

The striping is complex enough not to look clowny and subtle with the addition of little snowflakey dabs of soft color. The patterns look sweet in crochet as well.

A perfect WEBS offering except IMO for the stiff price tag. Regia yarns are more widely available in Germany, where sockmaking is a common and humble caremaking/family task, not an elite luxury craft.

This sock yarn has a beautiful texture. I have used many sock yarns--I am a veteran knitter--and I recommend this for yarns at the top of the list.
