I used this yarn for a stranded hat with a pom-pom. It turned out beautifully. The thick thin nature of the yarn makes the stitches rustic looking (good in this case, my son likes it). The thick thin nature of the one-ply yarn also made it weak in spots. I think it will be okay as a garment, but when I was knitting it did break a couple of times. I would be concerned using it for a sweater (elbow wear) and would never use it for socks or something that needed more oomph. I would choose a yarn that had more plies. The tweed look is beautiful.

Terrible yarn. It is nice in appearance and when worked up... but it looses ALL value to a knitter because it is dry, fragile, and extremely prone to breaking. The last thing a knitter wants to do is work hours on a project to have her yarn break, midstitch. The yarn is extremely uneven and poorly constructed. Would never repurchase or recommend to anyone that likes his/her sanity.

I am making the Soumak wrap from Rowan book #54. Absolutely lovely!Yarn flows off the needles; just don't yank it. It breaks easily.

        Service and delivery comments:

As always, WEBS service was top notch. Yarn came overnight. I had to send a few balls back , because there was a mistake in pattern quantities. WEBS took care of it for me.
