This is beautiful yarn, however, it is hard to knit with as the dots of sparkle can snag on the stitches while knitting. The yarn had many knots which always makes for extra work. It is very warm and soft yarn where there isn't any sparkle.

I was SO disappointed with this product. It is very rough and coarse. I bought the white color and there were slight pink spots in some areas, and after blocking MORE areas with the pink in the threads showed up (must have something to do with the dye process).

The yardage is also questionable, I ran out of yarn even knitting at gauge.

VERY PRICEY for the quality and yardage.

I used this to make the Madeleine Cowl and Hat. I am done with the hat, and it looks amazing. The pattern would be great with any yarn, but the diamonds in Diamante are awesome!

I used the color Camel, and I love how there is this dark thread running through the yarn (to which the diamonds are attached), because it really shows cables/twists, and gives your work a new dimension. I am in love with the diamonds themselves--I get so excited when they pop to the right side of the hat. I have found no errors (rips, snags, joins, missing diamonds) at all with this yarn, and I was surprised that it just glides right over my needles--no tugging or pulling to get the diamonds through. The diamonds manage to have amazing sparkle and texture without being rough and/or ripping the yarn in any way.

The feel of this yarn in the ball is really quite soft, but when you knit, it does create a stiffer/firmer product--not in a bad way, perfect for the hat, in fact. I didn't understand the other reviewer who said the yarn was rough at first, but then when I rubbed the hat over my torso skin a few times, I could imagine that it might not be ideal to wear as a sweater without a camisole. But to touch the hat, it is really quite soft, and it felt very soft to knit too. It certainly doesn't bother my head at all.

Bottom line: this is awesome yarn. It really does all the work for you, and it is attention getting. I feel like a queen with my crown on. I love, love the diamonds. This would make a lovely shawl too. I also imagine that this would also make fabulous trim on gloves--sparkling away like a million diamonds. Ah, I am so rich in my new hat! :-) I will be buying more of this yarn in the future!!

Webbs was very quick to replace defective skein. More scratchy than I anticipated and needs a soft barrier against skin. Good as a vest. Multiple cables and twists gets many compliments.
