Universal Yarn Bamboo Bloom Handpaints

Universal Yarns Bamboo Bloom Handpaints is a fun thick & thin yarn with great colors to choose from. The thin strands of bamboo rayon give this yarn a touch of shine. Made in Turkey.

Bamboo Bloom Handprints

Great product to work with. Beautiful colors, nice consistency and fluffiness expect if you wash it several times (even if in cold water, flat dry).

I ordered this in two colors to knit mobeiouses, and it will work for them, however, I wouldn't recommend it for sweaters or anything that needs to hold its shape. Great color blends. The very soft, thick sections tend to fray, handle them very gently.

A bit challenging to work with at first becasue of the dramitic change in the thickness of the yarn but wroth the effort. Made a gorgeous drop stitch scarf for a friend's daughter with it. Very gentle ont he hand to knit with. Colors are dreamy!

Comments about Universal Yarn Bamboo Bloom Handpaints:

I used this yarn to make several, probably 6-8, cowls using a pattern from juliepoolie71 on ravelry that she called Koi Pond Cowl, because she used that colorway. Each one turned out great. With the small amount of each skein I had left over, I used it to trim whimsical newborn hats for those cute newborn shots that photographers are doing now. Everyone that I gave a cowl to loved it!

I've made a number of shawls with this yarn, and I've been very pleased with the results. The interesting (and sometimes unpreditable) color combinations make for lovely results. The bamboo in the yarn creates a very nice drape of the resulting product.

This yarn was fun to make into a cowl. I don't like the way the thick parts started pooling in the arm of a sweater. The yarn looks fine in the body of a sweater knit in the round.

Comments about Universal Yarn Bamboo Bloom Handpaints:

I bought this in 2 color combinations for cowls. I liked the quality of the yarn. I liked the combination of rayon segments interspersed with wool segments. However, the difference between the thick and thin sections was great making it a bit hard to work with. There weren't many stitches this successfully worked with. However, the final product was very nice. More of a spring or fall yarn also.
