i made a simple cowl with piedras and couldn't be happier. it is a jewel box of deep rich color and so soft. fun to knit, quick and easy for a beginner like me. don't know much about bulky yarn like this so my next project from it is likely to be a hat. but a blanket or throw would be wonderful.

I LOVE all the Malabrigo yarns and this one feels great, but don't get your hopes set on the color you order because it may be quite different. I ordered Piedras and it's not nearly as vibrant as it looks in the picture. It's mostly olive green. If you go to Malabrigo's website, some of their pictures look vastly different from those on WEBS, so just keep that in mind.

wow I LOVE this yarn .If I could afford it, I would make everything from here on out from this yarn. So soft and thick and the depth of the colors-- I got piedras and its amazing the range of colors within it, all the shades and speckled tones of ripening fruit. It doesnt fray or shed like some single ply supers you can even pull out and reknit several times and no shedding or fuzzies AT ALL, stays smooth and shiny.

I just got my package of Abril, and honestly, I'm already madly in love. It has a wonderfully soft, utterly heavenly, almost foam-like texture, and it's one of those true super-bulky weight yarns, make no mistake. And if that's not enough of a draw, the colors, in true Malabrigo fashion, are stunning. In this case, the screen doesn't lie! Between the texture and color, even that tedious task of unwinding and re-winding the skein will seem to simply fly by.
