Works relatively quickly in all Knit at 10stx13rs to the inch on 2mm circulars for handsome, rich feeling scarves, hats and even a "lined" sweater. I've been accused of buying items from high-end stores and cutting the lables out. Alpaca luxe but the Nylon content makes the yarn wear like iron so it's worth the work for ambitious projects.

I used Ultra Alpaca Fine to make a pair of opera length gloves. Knitting with the yarn was relatively easy (some splitting) and it was pretty forgiving of mistakes. However, while the yarn does not seem itchy when being knitted, I was disappointed to find the finished product was too rough and itchy to wear. I do not usually have a problem with fabrics being itchy, and I have successfully worn other items made with alpaca. Note that I also found Ultra Alpaca (DK weight, used to make a sweater) to be similarly coarse and itchy when finished. The finished products are beautiful, but I wouldn't recommend this yarn for projects that will be worn next to the skin.

I love the yarn but my husbands socks look very fuzzy now. I don't think I'll make socks with it but I sure will make something because it's really nice yarn.

I'm knitting a sweater with this yarn and I love it. The blend of alpaca, wool, and nylon makes a beautiful heather. The yarn is a pleasure to knit, has a moderate drape, and feels softer than pure wool. This yarn is also nice for including beads in the project (I am using size 6 seed beads in the sweater I am knitting).
