Comments about Cascade Yarns Eco +:
Eco Wool is one of my favorite yarns. It is so versatile. Because it is a 2-ply worsted-spun yarn, it can be knit at several gauges. You can use it for an Aran sweater on a size 8 needle, or go all the way up to a fairly loose, drapey knit on a size 11. It is probably most at home on about a size 10 needle. The yarn has good stitch definition as well as being soft and well-behaved, so it's great for cables. The downside is that because it's not a true bulky-weight yarn, it tends to compact upon knitting. However, it can be doubled to make a firm fabric. The natural shades of Eco Wool are a sensual delight since they have a great clean lanolin smell, and in addition to looking and feeling great, the lanolin makes your hands soft while you work. When knitters talk about being overcome by yarn fumes, this is what we mean. It's addictive! The Eco Plus has all this plus some stunning, mostly heathered, dyed shades. At nearly 500 yards per skein, it's a great value.

Comments about Cascade Yarns Eco +:
The first time I bought this product was to make felted slippers. It is perfect!!!! Felts quickly and easily, which was good as I hadn't done it before. Bought a second batch to make more slippers, then MORE to make a heavy jacket. Haven't made the jacket, so I cannot comment on how it is with non-felted useage. Knits up beatifully

Comments about Cascade Yarns Eco +:
When knit at recommended gauge, seriously stretches when washed so be wary. Wash aggressively block your swatch and knit to it. Then block finished garment to size. (Knit to fit does NOT work with this yarn.) Many dark colours bleed profusely. Wash yarn first (I used synthrapol) if used with light colours in same garment. Otherwise, a really nice yarn.

This is a wonderful yarn. Extremely soft and has beautiful stitch definition. I am also using the natural Cascade Eco for a sweater with cables and it is working up just lovely. Highly recommend.
