Comments about Valley Yarns Franklin Natural Cones:
As someone said previously... you will find yourself buying triple the amount once your first cone is dwindling.
It's a great price and takes dye readily. I was unsure of the handfeel before washing, but was delightfully surprised once washed and blocked.
I hope to be ordering several more pounds soon. Thank you for providing an affordable and VERY nice sock weight yarn.

Comments about Valley Yarns Franklin Natural Cones:
First time buying a cone of this. I knitted a swatch and washed it by hand very roughly to test it. I love this stuff! It's superwash and everyone says it takes dye very well. I'll be ordering more, I see so many things it can become!

Comments about Valley Yarns Franklin Natural Cones:
You get exactly what you pay for with this yarn. It is not particularly soft and has quite a lot of guard hair. It also has light debris. I would definitely not use this for anything worn next to the skin besides socks. That said, the yarn provides great stitch definition, is not splitty when knit, and dyes well.

Comments about Valley Yarns Franklin Natural Cones:
After I dyed it, it became super-soft, lustrous, and generally amazing. It's not that I want to horde all of this wonderful yarn ALL to myself, I'm looking out for you. Do you really need more sock yarn?
Comments about Valley Yarns Franklin Natural Cones:
This is wonderful yarn, it dyes well and knits up wonderfully. It did however just jump $2.00 in price...hmmmm! But it's still a wonderful yarn that must be bought to appreciate it. Socks, shawls, lace, knit double, the possibilities are endless you won't be sorry.
Comments about Valley Yarns Franklin Natural Cones:
This is my go to yarn for just about everything. Dyes well, washes well, lasts well. It's not the softest, but it's definitely not scratchy. You can't beat the price! I use it for socks, scarves, baby clothes and so much more, it makes christmas knitting amazingly economical.
Comments about Valley Yarns Franklin Natural Cones:
LOVE this sock yarn! When it first arrived, I was a bit concerned at how thin it looked (almost like a lace weight), but I washed and dried a small sample and it "bloomed" beautifully into a Very Nice sock weight! This yarn dyes GREAT, even with Kool-Aid and food dyes! When this cone starts to get low, you can bet I'll be ordering another! :o)
