While rolling it into a ball I came across a knot tying the yarn together. It's no big deal, I just untied it and made two balls of yarn. Also, the dye tended to rub off on my fingers and needles while knitting. Nothing life ruining but just be aware that this may happen. Other than that, beautiful yarn.

The color of the yarn started out truly magnificent. But my second sock had a significantly different color shade throughout most of the sock. It looks like two different yarns were used. I am used to variations with hand dyed yarns but found this excessive. I have a second skein I will be returning (my First!) as I am unwilling to invest time on a yarn that might change that significantly partway through a project. So very disappointed.

I will be using this yarn to knit socks. Supertwisted merino sock yarn is my favourite to make socks with. I love the elasticity of the yarn, and the colour is so pretty!

          Comments about Pagewood Farm Chugiak:

Bought 3 skeins of this yarn in different colorways. Each skein had the same issue - too tightly wound and the yarn would twist up so often it was very difficult to knit with it. I frequently broke the yarn and retied it in order to get some of the "twist" out of it.
I'd purchased this yarn before and had no problem with it and it knit up beautifully into one-skein scarves. This 2nd purchase, however, was not what I would label a great knitting experience.

          Service and delivery comments:

As always, customer service was superior. Product was delivered promptly.

          Disintegrated when blocked

              Comments about Pagewood Farm Chugiak:

I used this yarn for a scarf intended for a friend. It knit up beautifully, but when I tried to block it the yarn literally disintegrated when misted with water. I didn't even have a chance to touch it and you could watch the strands fray and then break. I am not a tight knitter, so there is NO WAY that there was just too much tension on the yarn. Extremely upsetting. The entire project wound up in the trash bin. I did not even get any photos of the work since I was waiting until it was blocked to do so.
