I used Findley to make the "Ripen" shawlette by Meghan Jackson. Absolutely a dream to work with. It's smooth, no knots, deliciously soft, and the finished project looks exactly right. Color is deeply saturated and perfectly consistent. Stands up to blocking and frogging.

This is a yarn to use for that special gift or occasion, but it's reasonably priced enough that you should treat yourself as well. The high skein price is misleading--this yardage is plenty for a large shawl, and you can do a sweater with 3-4 balls.

I was excited to use Juniper Moon Findley to make at the patten Shleeves - a shawl with sleeves. It knitted well, but when I blocked it - the water was RED!!!!! After using vinegar and soaklng a second time - the water was still RED. At the present time, I am drying the item with the vinegar still on the yarn and after it dries thoroughly, I plan to rinse it with plain water and block again. I am most disappointed in the color bleeding - Beware!!!!!!

Comments about Juniper Moon Farm Findley:

I bought the first skein while on vacation in Bar Harbor Maine last summer intending to make a light weight summer wrap like mini shawl. But in the working, I discovered it was too warm for summer wear. So frogged my work, re-wrote the pattern to be more spring/fall full size wrap and needed a second skein which I bought from you folks. I'm putting the finishing touches on it now. . . In plenty of time for September wearing.

Made an Icelandic lace shawl for daughter's wedding. Loved the way it came out, that I ordered more to make wedding shawls for future granddaughters.

second time using this yarn for a lace shawl - very good quality - wool makes it easier to work with, silk makes it light and lovely. Plenty of yardage for shawl, etc, no need to join second skein.

Comments about Juniper Moon Farm Findley:

I loved this yarn so much that I bought numerous skeins in different colors. I knitted a lace scarf/wrap using every bit. It holds up well to "tinking" and has a beautiful feel and gorgeous sheen. Due to the silk (I think) it can split a bit but that is very minor. It is spun well and there were no joins which I love in lace. It also has great yardage and 1 skein easily makes a very nice-sized piece.
