Comments about Louet Gems Fingering:
I used this yarn in combination with another to increase the weight. It is really soft all by itself. The color is vivid. It's washable.

Comments about Louet Gems Fingering:
I prefer fingering weight yarn over thicker yarns, so I have ordered several skeins of Gems Fingering over the years. Latest purchases were intended for hand-dyeing, but they still are in their pristine white condition. Any unevenness in knitting evens out with blocking. As I grow older and hands becomme increasingly arthritic, this is an important feature. I generally hand-wash items, but recipients of baby knits report that they machine wash beautifully.

Comments about Louet Gems Fingering:
This was my first colorwork project and I am so impressed with this yarn. I made a pair of socks and I love the softness of it. My husband couldn't believe it was wool. It also gives off a beautiful sheen. I love knitting socks and this will be my go to yarn for future sock knitting. This yarn comes in heavier weights as well and am looking forward to using it for some other projects!

Am working on mittens and finding this soft and bouncy, and it's giving my colorwork great stitch definition. Reviewed this on the way to buy more!
