Louisa Harding
Louisa Harding Ianthe
Louisa Harding Ianthe is a blend of 50% extrafine merino and 50% cotton. It knits up at 5.5 stitches to the inch and is a great blend for spring. The wool lightens up the weight of the cotton nicely, and the twist will show off stitch patterning beautifully. Made in Italy.

Comments about Louisa Harding Ianthe:
Am making a stitch textured vest for my husband to bridge spring and fall. It is a fine nice weight for that. I found if I started the ball from the center the twist does not split. I am doing a basket weave patter and it has a beautiful hand. I would love to make more things with this yarn.

Comments about Louisa Harding Ianthe:
A lovely discovery for spring knits. The fiber combination means it is warm, but light, has some give it does not "grow". Wonderful colors to choose from.

Comments about Louisa Harding Ianthe:
I've made a half-dozen baby & toddler sweaters and dresses with this yarn. It has nice stitch definition and is versatile and soft enough to be worn next to a baby's skin. For easy care, I made everything 1 - 2 sizes larger than the intended finished size, popped them in the washer and dryer (gentle cycles) and they came out just the right size and SO soft!!! Great yarn for year-round clothing and baby blankets too.

Comments about Louisa Harding Ianthe:
I like this yarn very much! I loved it's texture - silky, wet and beautifully drapes. But after the washing the piece stretches out a little and the silky texture becomes not so bright but it's still look great.
It's perfect aran's yarn! The arans look structured and vividly.
I wood recommend this yarn. Just keep in mind that you have to knit sample before your start because the piece will change it's measurements. The yarn is stretchy.

Comments about Louisa Harding Ianthe:
I love this yarn. Not too stiff as in 100% cotton. I think I must love a nice twist in yarn because it makes my knitting look so perfect. No splitting or shedding. I am making a sweater and hit perfect gauge of 22 stitches with size 5 needles (I tend to be loose).
