This yarn is lovely! I bought two balls in the color rose to make the Victoria Fingerless Mittens from Louisa Harding's Knitting Little Luxuries. The yarn is very soft and substantial, with just the right amount of flop. This makes lace edges stand out without being too harsh. The silk makes every stitch capture the light in just the right way, without being too shiny and glitzy. I found no knots or defects in my yarn, and was thoroughly pleased. I'm definately going to use this yarn to make more projects. Five plus stars!

Comments about Louisa Harding Grace Silk & Wool:

This yarn is so very soft and luxurious. Knitting up beautifully into a cabled vest for my husband. The cables are well defined and plump! The only drawback are splices (knotted joins) in the middle of skeins which are pesky and mar an otherwise perfect ball of yarn.

Comments about Louisa Harding Grace Silk & Wool:

I've made a long vest with this yarn. It broke easy specially on cast on, and I had to rethink the working tension. I've found some knots too. Overall I like the yarn, it is very light and warm and the touch of silk make the colors vibrant. It sheds a bit.

Comments about Louisa Harding Grace Silk & Wool:

I have made several knitted and crocheted garments with this yarn and I cannot do justice to it's overall performance. Casting on is a dream, stitches glide on to the needle. Working with complex cables is a pleasure, they just "pop" out of the surface and don't drop with wear or washing. This yarn responds well to blocking and does not go out of shape with use. It does pill or ball with wear, but can be removed easily and does not detract from the garment. This yarn is truly a pleasure to work with, you will love it!

Comments about Louisa Harding Grace Silk & Wool:

I love this yarn. The colors and texture are gorgeous! I would rather give it a 4.5 than just a 4, because all though it unravels, it is very slight and easy to fix. I used 3 balls to make a variated cowl that turned out lovely. Will definitely use this yarn again.

Not a true DK weight, but I still love it

        By Anonymous

Comments about Louisa Harding Grace Silk & Wool:

I love this yarn, but when I knit it to 5.5 stitches to the inch it is stiff. I prefer it at 20. I also use this yarn to strand with sequins on a fingerling weight. It is a great formal or cocktail type yarn. I have knitted garments in black and natural. Amazing drape and very, very sexy.
