Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage Limited Edition Short Skeins is a 100% superwash merino wool. This versatile worsted weight yarn is perfect for hard-wearing sweater and accessory projects. Madelinetosh's colors are exquisite and Tosh Vintage is machine washable, which makes it perfect for gift knitting and crochet!
Note: These skeins have less yardage than Tosh Vintage normally does. They have 190 yards each.

I recently bought several short skeins. Some of the skeins were so drastically different from the others, I couldn't even alternate them because they would cause stripes. It was really disappointing for me to have to find a different project that used less yarn, because I couldn't use the yarn I paid good money for. I feel the people choosing the skeins for the orders need to be more color-considerate. I have bought Madtosh online before and have never recieved such mismatched colors. After this unpleasant experience, I will now only buy Madtosh in person.

Yes, the colors may vary considerably from one skein to the next in the same color way, but they still match (if you know what I mean). When using Madelinetosh yarn in a sweater or other multi-skein project, I try to use one skein for sleeves, another for a picked up edge, and then alternate skeins on front and back pieces so that the colors blend a bit better.
Madelinetosh is still one of my favorite yarn companies.
If you don't want to alternate skeins, then this may not be the yarn for you.
