Madelinetosh Pashmina Worsted

The soft sheen of Pashmina yarn, in a worsted weight! Madelinetosh Pashmina Worsted is a touchable blend of merino wool, silk and cashmere (like the famous pashmina scarves), with a four-ply construction that knits or crochets up into a soft, drapey fabric. This gorgeous yarn is machine washable, and like all Madelinetosh yarns, Pashmina Worsted is hand-dyed in small batches.

Please note: Each skein of Madelinetosh Pashmina Worsted is unique. There are no dye lots and skeins may vary. The yarn color you receive may look different than the color pictured.

    Fabulous yarn

This yarn knits like butter...it feels so wonderful in your hands. But it only gets better when you have a sweater to wear that feels so soft, warm, and cuddly.

I absolutely loved working with this yarn. Felt great, behaved very nicely. However, the sweater made with Pashmina began to pill with very little usage making the sweater look old and worn out. Loved working with this yarn, but for the price, would have expected it to tolerated being used, even a little!

      Comments about Madelinetosh Pashmina Worsted:

I am in the process of knitting a sweater with Tosh Pashmina, color Rainwater. Originally I started with Tosh Vintage, Rainwater, but as I continued to knit with it I decided that the yarn was too heavy for a longer sweater. I also thought that the Vintage was dull and without sheen. I reordered the same color in Pashimana and I was thrilled this time. The added silk gave these colors a beautiful sheen with touches of blues and grey. In addition, this yarn has a lovely drape and does not seem to have the heaviness of the Vintage. Both yarns are worsted weight but the Pashmina has a lighter weight feel.

Astrid Grey worsted makes a beautiful, great feeling blanket. The color blend is subtle and gorgeous when completed. The yarn holds it shape while knitting and the stitch pattern stands out well. This yarn is a true pleasure to work with.

              Comments about Madelinetosh Pashmina Worsted:

I just started buying from WEBS and the service is outstanding. I bought this yarn based on other reviews and I was not disappointed. The yarn is so yummy and such a delight to knit with. I knit a fingertip length jacket with lace and cables and it is stunning. The yarn does have weight so it did grow, but since it is a jacket worked perfectly. I have not made anything like this before so learning a lot about yarn choices. I am sure with the add of the cables made this a lot heavier than a normal sweater. I would definitely buy this yarn again and with WEBS discount when you spent so many $ sure makes it a lot more affordable. Love, love it!

I have read nothing but positive comments regarding this yarn so making a DROPS sweater (cardigan style) fir my sis. Hope it doesn't pill as bad as others state but just doing the swatch was amazing. So soft to work with and only gets better after blocking. Love it!!!!! Color is Cove. Just beautiful.

I got the Jasper, great color variation. Handles beautifully doesn't split good stitch definition good value since the skein is large I will be able to get 2 hats out of this. knits nicely on size 5 needles, but really is nicest on size 3. I will get this yarn again. This would be great for the Knitty "clapotis" shawl.

If you like a warm and cozy feel to your garments this is the beat yarn for that. I made many cowls, none were as warm or comfortable to wear then the one I made with this yarn. With temperatures in the single digits I didn't expect any garment to keep me comfortable, but was pleasantly surprised by the warmth, and the soft feel of this yarn next to my neck, face and ears.

I substituted this for another DK weight yarn in a vest - was very disappointed. Not a good match. This yarn is good for something that is not structured. It is soft and needs to be knitted into something that drapes. I will probably rip this out and maybe make a shawl.
