Madelinetosh Pashmina
Madelinetosh Pashmina is a 3-ply yarn made up of 75% superwash merino wool, 15% silk and 10% cashmere, a similar fiber blend to the famous woven pashmina scarves.
This machine washable blend is hand-dyed in small dye lots and knits up to create a soft fabric with great drape.
Please note: Each skein of Madelinetosh Pashmina is unique. There are no dye lots and skeins may vary. The yarn color you receive may look different than the color pictured.

This is a lovely light DK weight yarn. My swatch was strange looking off the needles -- uneven and measuring 6 stitches to the inch, but after washing it came out as a lovely, even, silky soft and shiny piece of elegant fabric. My gauge was 22/32 on size 5 needles. The fabric is going to be drapey b/c of the weight of the silk. Perfect for scarves, shawls, gloves, lace, and cardigans. Exquisite stitch definition. The colors are all over the place, though -- make sure you get the yarn shop to match your skeins. Winding was okay, I had to fiddle with the strands a bit where they were crossed but nothing horrendous. My fabric did not bleed and I had the Alzarin colorway.

I have made a few projects with this yarn (scarf, shawl, and the Celia sweater) and it has become one of my favorite yarns. Great weight, fantastic colors, and soft enough to wear against your skin. Out of 10 skeins, one skein had 4 spliced areas in it, other than that, all were fine. Highly recommended!

I really like this yarn. It is wonderfully soft and the finished project is gorgeous...snuggly and slightly luminous. I've got a bunch more Pashmina waiting to be knitted! I had a skein that had several knots & flaws in it, so if that bothers you a lot, be aware. I cut them out and worked in the ends. It certainly didn't stop me from buying more!

I love love love this yarn! It's so soft and the way it drapes is absolutely beautiful! Getting it at a $5.50 discount is very hard to find! The only con is the color I purchased (Fathom) bleeds a little. I suspect this only happens with the reds and deep blue. Despite this I will still purchase this yarn for future projects.
