excellent yarn

By Anonymous

Comments about Mirasol K'acha:

This yarn is not dk weight. I'm getting 3.5 sts. to the inch on number 9s. To me, that makes it chunky. Very soft and the shading is beautiful. Also very strong, probably from the silk. It's a pleasure to work with. Additional plus is that it helps support a Peruvian school/medical facility.

Lovely yarn

Comments about Mirasol K'acha:

A heavier DK weight yarn with nice halo. Colorway is great with subtle dark to light shading. Looks great combined with another yarn for contrast or brighter color. Have mixed the dark navy with red pastaza by Cascade and also with Lion Brand Homespun Fiesta for nice results. Would definitely recommend and buy again. Can't beat the price for the value. Would like to try some Sulka yarn which is same fiber yet heavier, as I like to knit with bulky yarns.

great color depth, nice feel

Comments about Mirasol K'acha:

I'm a new knitter, and have only worked scarves, but this stuff is really nice. It has a satiny feel, doesn't split. It feels alot thicker than DK however, and I have to cajole it off my steel needles. I'm doing a triangle pattern scarf, and it shows up really well.
